The website uses Openstreetmap for display.
In order for OpenStreetMap maps to be displayed on a website, the user's IP address is stored on an OpenStreetMap server and a cookie is set. The servers are currently located in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Since the UK may no longer be part of the EU in the future, data would therefore be stored outside the borders of the EU, as is the case with Google.
One major difference, however, is that OpenStreetMap does not set a so-called NID cookie, which not only reads the user's browser data, but is also used by Google for advertising purposes.
A map of the "OpenStreetMap" service is integrated (https://www.openstreetmap.de), which is offered by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF) on the basis of the Open Data Commons Open Database Licence (ODbL).
